Oana really has an eye for capturing those intimate family moments in a very natural way. Our session never felt "posed" or "artificial". She was just masterful at keeping our toddler happy, engaged, and involved. The results were absolutely beautiful.

On a chilly, fall morning, Oana had the task of photographing my family including 2 grumpy teenagers, a sassy toddler a less than camera shy husband and me, the diva. By the end of our session, we were all laughing and warmed by the spirit of spending quality time together as a family capturing precious moments on film. This wasn't just about a photo shoot, it was an experience that we will remember for a long time and it was Oana's approach that tooks us from being very stiff at the beginning of the session to silly and goofy at the end. Oana is an awesome photographer. I used her for my daughter's 6th birthday party and I can't tell you how pleased we were with the photos. She did a wonderful job. We were extremely impressed and will continue to use Oana in the future. Oana doesn't know it yet but she will have a standing appointment for my daughter's future parties. I wouldn't choose anyone else to photograph my family. I was recently able to catch one of her great photography specials she offers and I am looking very forward to her photographing our three generations; myself, my mother and my daughter.

I waited for several years to get really wonderful professional photography for my children (i.e., better than the JCPenney portraits I had gotten when they were infants). During that time I did research on who might be a good photographer, and decided to use Oana after reading the reviews on Kudzu. I just couldn't be more thrilled with the work Oana did. The photo session was so easy and natural, and the photos are unbelievably beautiful! My family and friends raved when they saw the pictures. Oana has the mark of a great photographer: she gets great pictures out of what seems like thin air! When we went to her fairy shoot, my kids were kind of ornery and not cooperative. I thought surely the pictures would reflect that. Instead, I couldn't believe the pictures that came out of the shoot. They captured the essence of my kids: they were playful, color- soaked and gorgeous shots. I ended up having a book made of that day's pictures, as well as an enlargement. Oana has a gift. She has children, loves children, and it shows. She has a great eye and has the technical skill. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She later took some shots of my sister-in-law's wedding and I saw the same beautiful results come out of a very hectic fifteen minutes pre- wedding

First I have to say that I hate cameras - I hate having my picture taken however, the 'Oana experience' was phenomenal. Oana is a delightful person and a very talented photographer. I am looking forward to scheduling another session - maybe I'll get mom to come to town. I just adore Oana's portraiture - families, babies, children, couples and I love that she prefers natural settings to a studio (natural light can be so forgiving). You really must book a session with her!

I have used Oana Hogrefe Photography twice, once to photograph my wedding in 2002 and again in 2004 when I needed head shots for my publicity packets. Her work is exceptional. I had over 200 fabulous photos from the wedding and over 15 really good head shots in a variety of poses and expressions after only a 1 1/2 hour sitting.
